According to Sahara Repeaters, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has shut down a Jos-based Jay 101.5 FM radio station described in a letter he described as "incitement to broadcasting."

However, Saharan Reporters said that a leading source familiar with what is known closed the station because of "presidential orders because the station had problems with the late publication of the results of INEC in the recently-closed presidency in Jose North broadcast elections ".

The NBC had announced 44 more stations for sanctions.

However, information provided to SaharaReporters indicated that the job radio sanction was based on top-level governmental hierarchy orders.

"The results have not been published and are controversial. The APC government does not want anything that affects the chances of incumbent Governor Lalong, who is Buhari's right-hand man, and as you know, the station belongs to Senator Jang of the PDP, "another government source told Sahara Reporters.

SaharaReporters learned that there was trouble for the embattled station when, on Friday, US Department of State (DSS) officials stormed the station and arrested senior officers on duty, who are also the station's technical director.

"He was required to sign a commitment that the station would not cover or report on the events that led to his arrest. He was later released. Immediately after his release, a letter was sent to the station to stop the operation from now on, "the source said.
