Requests from appropriately qualified members of the public will be admitted to the Delta State School of Health Technology (DELSOTECH), Ofuoma-Ughelli, for the 2019/2020 academic session.

DELSOTECH admission requirements

(Ai) COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE (CHEW) COURSE
Potential candidates should have at least five (5) credits at WASC, NECO or GCE level "O" in at least two (2) sessions. The five points must be in the following topic; Biology, English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
Retina JCHEW: Potential applicants must hold a JCHEW certificate that is in addition to (Ai) above at least two (2) years after completion of a qualification.

(Aii) JUNIOR COMMUNITY HEALTHCRAFT (JCHEW)
Potential candidates must have at least three (3) credits at WASC, NECO, SSSC or GCE level "O" in at least two (2) sessions. The three (3) credit points must include English language, biology, math and two other credentials, including (i) one of the categories physics, chemistry, geography, nutrition and nutrition and all persons (1) economic, agricultural and tax advisors or trade.

(Bi) Submission of the optician course
Potential candidates should have four (4) credit cards at WASC, SSCE, NECO or GCE Level "O" exams. The four (4) credits and one (1) should be in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English.

(Ci) ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (ND)
Potential candidates should have at least five (2) sessions or equivalent exams passed by WASC, SSCE, NECO or GCE Examinations at "O" level. This can be approved by EHORECON or WAHEB. The subjects must include: English language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(Cii) ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (HND)
Potential candidates must have a National Diploma (ND) in Environmental Health Technology and must demonstrate that they have acquired relevant industrial training for one year in addition to Ci (1).

(Ciii) ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates should have at least three (3) credits and two (2) passes for WAEC, NECO and GCE (O-Level) certificates or Teacher Certificates (TC II) in a maximum of two (2) sessions. The three (3) credits and two (2) passes must include the following subjects: English Language, Biology / Health Sciences. Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Technical Drawing and other subjects.
Mathematics would be an advantage.
Note: This course covers natural sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, general science and health science.
Note: The combined results for Gi-Gii must come from the same exam location. SSCE and SSCE or NECO and NECO.

(Tue) HEALTH EDUCATION TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates should have four credit cards in the WASC, SSSC and GCE O exams or at NECO. These credentials should include mathematics, English, biology or health sciences as well as one (1) of the following subjects: chemistry, economics or geography in a maximum of two (2) sessions.
(Dii) HEALTH TRAINING (ND)
The prospective candidate should have five (5) credits in the WASC, SSCE or GCE-O level or NECO exams. This loan should include math, english, biology / health science, chemistry and physics.
(Ei) HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates must have five (5) WASC, SSCE, GCE-O, NECO or NABTEB credentials, or equivalent, with credit in English, Biology / Health Sciences, Chemistry / Physics, Mathematics and any kind must be included in any other topic in a maximum of two (2) sessions.
(Eii) HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (ND)
Potential candidates must hold five (5) degrees in the WASC, SSCE, GCE-O & # 39; level, NECO or NABTEB exam or equivalent, English, Biology, Chemistry / Physics, Mathematics and another subject with a maximum of two must include sessions.

(Eii) HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HND)
a) Potential candidates must have a National Diploma (ND) in HIM with a minimum degree or a professional degree in HRIM from HIM and evidence of one (1) year relevant work experience in an accredited health facility recognized by the Board. b) Applicants with a pass (GPA 2.00-2.49) at NN level with two (2) or more years of work experience acquired after a ND professional experience may be considered for admission to the HND program become.

(Fi) nutrition and nutrition (ND)
Potential candidates should have at least two (4) credits at the WASC, SSSC and GCE "O" levels or in the NECO exam. The subject must include: chemistry, biology / agronomy and two (2) of the following categories: mathematics, food and nutrition, physics, business / commerce, healthcare, household management, English, primary care and food services.

At least passports in English and math are compulsory.
(Fii) Nutrition and Nutrition (HND)
Potential candidates should be eligible FiA minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA 2.50 and above) in the corresponding ND exam and at least one year of work experience. In exceptional cases, an ND diploma (CGPA OF 2.49) in the ND exam, which has two or more years of relevant experience in this area, may be considered for admission to the HND program in nutrition and dietetics.

Gi) MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates must have at least five (5) credits in two (2) sessions in the WASC, SSCE, GCE O, NECO or NABTEB exams. The subject must have a maximum of two (2) credentials in the fields of biology, chemistry, English and mathematics.
(Gii) Retrainee MLA: Potential candidates must also hold a Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate two (2) years after completing the qualification Gi over.

(Giii) OND (in SLT): Candidates with OND in SLT in addition to the requirements in Gi may be considered for inclusion in the 200 program level.
Candidates for a medical lab assistant: For which SSCE, NECO or equivalent qualifications until 2018 are more than five years, they can not be admitted
(Hi) PUBLIC HEALTH CARE

  • Potential candidates must have five (5) credit cards, which must include: subjects in English, mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry in the areas of WASC, SSCE, GCE & # 39; O & # 39; or NECO at most two (2) sessions plus either b, c or d below.
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Registered Midwife (RM) certificate or another basic nursing certificate, eg. B. a psychiatric nursing certificate plus one year after qualification.

(Hii) HEALTH TECHNICIAN
a) Potential candidates must have five (5) credits, which must include English language, math, biology and two (2) credits in the WASC, SSCE, GCE or NECO exams for a maximum of two (2 ) Meetings.
(Hiii) HEALTH AID
Potential candidates should have at least five (5) passes in WASC, SSCE, GCE-O-Level or NECO exams for a maximum of two (2) sessions. The passports must include: English language, math, biology and two more (2) relevant subjects.
(I) PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates should have WASCE, SSCE, GCE-O-Level, or NECO five (5) credits, which must span English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics in a maximum of two (2) sessions.
(J) PICTURE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates should have three (3) credits in GCE, WAEC, SSCE or NECO, which must include English language, math and one (i) either chemistry, physics or biology in a maximum of one session.

(K) PARAMEDICS (ND)
Potential applicants must have at least five (5) credits for WASC, SSCE, GCE-O-Level or NECO exams in a maximum of two (2) sessions. The subjects must include English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
(L) DENTAL SURGERY TECHNICIAN
Potential candidates should have five (5) credits in GCE, WASC, SSCE, or NECO that include English language, math, physics, chemistry, and biology for a maximum of two (2) sessions.
(M) SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY (ND)
Potential candidates should have five (5) credits in the WASC, SSCE, GCE level "O" or NECO, which must include: biology, chemistry, physics, math and English for a maximum of two (2) sessions.

Note:All applicants applying for a National Diploma (N.D.) program must register for the JAMB form and take the JAMB exam.

The entrance exam will take place on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 9:00 am in the College of Health Technology building in Ofuoma.
