The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, won his polling station on Saturday during the presidential election.

Sowore, who cast his vote in Kiribo, Ese-Odo, Ondo County, defeated President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Democratic People's Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar.

According to results inserted at Polling Unit 005, Apoi Ward II of the local government area, Sowore's party, AAC pulled a total of 208 votes, while APC came second with 82 votes, while the PDP came behind with a distant third 11 votes

Sowore, who is also the founder of the Take It Back movement, had previously welcomed the turnout from his community and the professionalism of INEC Independent National Electoral Commission officials.
