Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has finally settled the rumors that he had dumped the Party for the Democratic Party of Opposition People (PDP).

In a statement by his special adviser Media, Tunde Rahman, the APC leader denied throwing away the flag of the party, as mandated by PDP.

"If you want to accuse Asiwaju for anything in this matter, your criticism can only be limited to the accuracy of his litter. Any attempt to expand the episode beyond that is that fiction and mischief are capitalized.

The real incident that should be reported and condemned is that people who purposely oppose the party and the president tried to infiltrate and disrupt the rally. The attack by these workers was disrespectful to the presidency and could possibly have harmed the person of the president.

With just a few precious days left to the election and the chance of a victory that goes even faster than time, the Democratic Party of Peoples is now resorting to the most absurd and desperate tactics to save its falling business. A drowning man, however, can not cast a lifeline. Nor can the PDP succeed in transforming the innocent attempted exchange of a flag between the national leader and the national chairman into a break in the APC's successful campaign.

The APC Rally in the Ogun State actually had an incident, but it is not a PDP. The real incident that should be reported and condemned is that people who defy the party and the president have tried to infiltrate and disrupt the rally. The attack by these workers was disrespectful to the presidency and could possibly have harmed the person of the president.

Such antics have no place in our political discourse. The author of these misdeeds should stop before real damage is done. Now to the core of the recent antics of the opposition. If the issue of the flag has become the hotspot of the PDP campaign, they are in serious trouble.

During this part of the Ogun rally, the national chairman and others sought a party banner. Asiwaju Tinubu discovered one within his reach. He picked it up and tried to hand it over to Chairman Oshiomhole so that the chairman could introduce it to the governor's candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun. If you want to accuse Asiwaju for anything in this matter, your criticism can only be limited to the accuracy of his litter. Any attempt to expand the episode beyond that is that fiction and mischief are capitalized.

As National Leader, Asiwaju Tinubu is absolutely loyal and committed to the APC. It is unthinkable that he leaves the party.

In addition, there is no reason for him to do so. He worked hard for the victory of the APC and all of its candidates in the upcoming election.

Asiwaju understands the bigger picture. He knows what this election is about. Either the nation will move forward in the advancing path of the APC, or it will be forced to withdraw into the ills created by the PDP of the past. As the future of the nation is in limbo, Asiwaju will not allow himself to be deterred by a small displeasure.

Those who turn this matter should make better use of their ideas. Asiwaju is not going anywhere. He stays Gidigba (fixed) in APC. And after the election, he will be there to celebrate the victory of the APCs and this nation over those who would hinder us in our rightful future. "
