Lagosians had temporary respite breaks that regularly coincided with the Ikorodu Street – Western Avenue Expressway last week.

These commuters had awakened when they had come across parked trucks on the freeways and on the popular bridging bridges along the highways.

That was last Friday – a day before Presidential campaign of APC,

On Saturday, an election rally was planned on the Teslim Balogun Stadium, The stadium is located along the Western Avenue of the freeway.

Overnight trailer migration was a big and pleasant surprise for the Lagosians.

The presence of these parked trailers has become a major nuisance on the highways in Lagos. They have become the main cause of traffic congestion on these roads.

The situation has become a hopeless situation. The efforts of the successive provincial government of Lagos to relocate these trucks from the highways did not bring any results.

Even threats of the army – who thought the parked trucks ran across bridges Abati Barracks was a security risk – could not get the trucks off the highway.

Unfortunately, less than 48 hours after APC's presidential campaign in Lagos, the container trucks are back on the highways and bridges in Lagos.
