Marie Kondo has made tidying up your room a new hip thing.

If you're not ready to fully use Kondo on your space, the app will "Get rid of it"Can help you purify yourself at a slower, yet productive pace.

Just like Kondo, the app encourages you to get rid of things that "do not add value to your life," or in other words, "do not bring joy." However, it encourages you to become a solid clearing-out process.

On the first day of using the app, you only have to get rid of one thing. On the second day, you start two things a day. This number grows by one element daily until you reach 30.

When you get rid of any object, take a photo to remember the object and track your progress. You also have the option to leave a note of how much the Blues Traveler CD or lava lamp meant to you in the 1990s.

Assuming that your month is a success, you can start the process again next month and focus on another area. The idea is that maybe the first month is your home office while the second month is going to get your bedroom started (or wherever else a good rip-off is needed).

The end result will be a tidier, more minimalist home, but you do not have to get rid of everything at once to get there.
