Michael Babatunde, Super Eagles winger, was delighted to have scored his first goal for Wyday Casablanca on Friday in the first round of the CAF Champions League in 2018/19 against Asec Mimosa at home to Asec Mimosa Completesports.com,

Babatunde rebuilt Wydad Casablanca's lead after three minutes in the second half, after Wonlo Coulibaly's equalizer broke off Ismail el Haddad's strike for the home side.

"Thank God, for my first goal of 2019," Babatunde wrote on his Instagram page.

Zouhair el Moutaraji, Walid el Karti and Badie Aouk also scored a decisive victory for Wydad Casablanca, who won the competition a second time two years ago.

Salif Bagate scored a late consolation goal for Asec Mimosa.

The triumph saw Wydad reach the top of Group A with a better goal difference than Nigerian Lobi, who was defeated 2-1 in Enugu in the final of Mamelodi Sundowns 2016.

Babatunde played for 75 minutes before being replaced by Badie Aouk.

Lobi Stars will be billed for the Felix Houphouet-Boigny stadium in the next match of the Aix Mimosa team on 19 January, while Mamelodi Sundowns will host squad leader Wydad Casablanca.
